While exploring themes for this week, I found myself meditating on the magic of daily life.  Marveling at the mysteries of the mundane.  Feeling awestruck by the everyday essence of life just as it is.  In short, I found myself thinking about everyday magic.  (Those of you who are local will know why I decided not to title the blog as such).

Not the crystals and moonbeam type of magic (though I’m into that a bit myself).  Rather, the kind of magic that is available to us when we practice presence.  The magic we are privy to when we pay attention to the utterly fantastic and nearly unbelievable miracle that is the human body itself.  Never mind the incredible power of the body to heal and transform.  [Not to mention the wonder that is the mind-body-heart-spirit connection…]

All this magic is constantly unfolding within us and around us.  We just have to pay attention to it.

When we unclutter the mind, unplug from the matrix, and “use our eyes for the first time,” we get a chance to not just see but also experience the magic in the mundane.  The medicine of the moment.  The magic of every day.  The power of presence.

Come practice it with me.  You’ll be amazed (if you choose to be) by what’s possible.
