More about your Hosts
Patty Adams (she/her), is a licensed therapist trained in Somatic Experiencing along with modalities like yoga, mindfulness, and Ayurveda. Based in Durham, NC, the lands of the Occoneechee, Saponi, Eno and Skakori peoples, she has decades of experience working in social movements at the intersections of healing and justice. She is a fat, cis, white queer woman struggling to survive in a capitalist, white supremacist, ableist, patriarchal and cishet world! More on Patty here.
Luke Hirst (they/them) is a trans and queer therapist providing therapy for adults and teens 13+ across NC. Currently their work focuses largely on people going through life transitions, exploring issues of gender and sexuality, or in nontraditional relationships. They are especially passionate about creating a space where people can embrace their whole embodied selves, especially BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled and/or chronically ill, immigrant, fat, neurodivergent, and other marginalized folks. You can learn more about them at www.lukehirst.com.
